I Gotta Have One

I've been on a cleaning/organizing trip recently (I may not be acting on it, but I'm definitely thinking about it). I was looking online to get some inspiration for my craft space. I don't have an entire room dedicated to my crafts yet, but it's never too early to start planning! Check out some of these great work spaces I found!

I just love the bright colors in this room!

Is that a dowel holding those spools of ribbon? Why didn't I think of that?

I love the design of the ladder shelf. It seems to make everything so accessible for all angles.

Clear storage containers are a must!

Now, who couldn't get creative in a space like this?
If you have an organized work space and want to show it off, post a comment here with a pic. I need all the inspiration I can get. Maybe then I'll actually act on all my daydreaming!

And we have a winner....

Last night was the much-anticipated season finale of "The Next Food Network Star" on the Food Network. Our big winner is Aaron McCargo, Jr. from Camden, NJ. If you're into food and/or reality t.v., I highly suggest you catch next season. In the meantime, you can catch Aaron's new show Big Daddy's House, Sundays at 1:30pm/12:30c.

Aaron is a family man who loves all things buttered and barbecued. Aaron got his start cooking in a local hospital at 13 and is the Executive Catering Chef for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Married with three kids, Aaron brings an easygoing presence to the kitchen with his warm smile and passion for down to earth cooking.

Age: 36
Hometown: Camden, N.J.
Occupation: Chef
Favorite food: Buffalo wings
Food/ingredient you won't go near: Venison
Why you should be The Next Food Network Star:
I have a real and unique personality and delivery on food. I have a more down-to-earth way of cooking.

One of my favorite recipes from this season, although not from our winner, is the Vegas style Mac 'N' Cheese with Grilled Lobster. I haven't officially tried it yet (still working up the nerve to work with live lobsters), but if it tastes anything like it looks and sounds, it's absolutely divine.

When the whole world fits inside of your arms

I got caught up in another Flickr game that Raven posted. Honestly, what did I do with my time before I found Flickr? This is the collage I came up with when I played the game. I'll post the rules and questions below so you can play along. Comment back with your creations here so I can ooh and ahh with you!

When the Whole World Fits Inside of Your Arms

The Concept...

a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image...and it doesn't necessary have to be an image of your answer as long as it's on that first page.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into
fd’s mosaic maker.
d. Name your new image with a line from the song in Question #7

Questions...

1. What day is it?
2. Who is your favorite superhero?
3. Pick a number from 1 to 100?
4. What is your favourite flower?
5. Who is your favourite fashion designer?
6. Country in which you may have lived in a past life?
7. Favourite Song of the Moment? "

National Hot Dog Month

Being from Chicago, you know I love a good hot dog, but they don't seem to be too popular with anyone but the kids these days. Have hot dogs gotten a bad rap?

For centuries together, hot dogs and sausages have suffered from their fair share of misperceptions about their content and manufacture. But today's traditional hot dogs and sausages are growing leaner. The fact is the U.S. Department of Agriculture requires by law that meats used in hot dogs and sausages must be muscle meat, just like the fresh ground meat sold in supermarkets. The vast majority of hot dogs and sausages consist of the same high quality meats that shoppers buy straight out of their grocer's meat case.

So, with July being National Hot Dog Month, I headed over to Etsy.com to see what hot dog-inspired goodies I could find.

Nurseries to Die For

As the baby bump gets bigger I find myself thinking more and more about the nursery I'd like to have for the new little one. It's amazing how far we've come from the basic "pink" or "blue" baby decor. Here's a few of my favorite nurseries that I've run across.
